  • William L. Wilson

    Bill Wilson is the founder of Synterra and the Principal of Synterra’s four business entities – site/landscape architecture (1972); construction management (1987); real estate, hotel development and management (1995); and bridge and infrastructure design (2013). His vision of quality and exemplarily work has enabled Synterra to be at the forefront of some of the most exciting projects – regionally, nationally and internationally. He is known as an innovator and one of the early proponents of creating a work environment that promotes sharing, intersecting perspectives and the continuous critiques that keep each project moving toward the best solution.

    A Philadelphia native, Bill received degrees in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Architecture from the Delaware Valley College (where he currently serves as the Board of Trustee’s Vice Chairman) and the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Fine Arts. Some of his civic affiliations include: Executive Committee, Pennsylvania Convention and Visitors Bureau and Chairman of the Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC); Presidents Council, Philadelphia Zoo; Board of Visitors, Temple University School of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Board of Directors, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

  • Myrna Toro

    Myrna’s excellent management skills and a natural ability to communicate combined to make her Synterra Ltd's President. Her innate ability to thrive in a cross-cultural environment helps her to establish collaborative and effective working relationships with a multiplicity of public and private agencies, institutions, neighborhood community groups, special interests groups and public officials. She has achieved notable success as an advocate for her exemplary leadership, vision and commitment to increase community involvement by way of employment for community contractors and residents on regional projects as well motivating young people to excel and achieve their dreams.

  • Joseph Johnson
    Chief Financial Officer

    Joe oversees the day-to-day financial operations of the Company. Holding dual degrees (a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Finance from Temple University), he is largely responsible for Synterra’s cross-training program which encourages employee's to gain proficiency in more than one professional discipline. His ability to blend his technical background with that of a "real world" understanding of the financial analysis process makes him the perfect person to lead various areas to which Synterra, Ltd. has expanded.

  • William Mellix
    Project Coordinator

    Bill supervises and directs Synterra Ltd’s professional landscape architects design group. He has a broad oversight over multiple landscape projects from conception to construction. As a veteran administrator, he blends his professional landscape and construction experiences with his interpersonal relations, contract negotiations and business development. Bill oversees Synterra projects to make sure that the project goals, vision, budget and design schedules are successfully achieved.

  • Peichih (Peggy) Carter, RLA
    Senior Landscape Architect

    Combining a Master in Landscape Architecture degree with a B.S. in Horticulture, Peggy strengthens Synterra’s international perspective on projects that require many points of view. Experienced in landscape design, land planning, horticulture and construction, she provides unique sensibilities that are critical when ecosystems and environmental impact are of paramount concern. As Synterra's Design Director, Peggy leads and coordinates teams on projects of every scale-both domestically and internationally.

  • Thomas P. Piotrowski
    Senior Associate/Infrastructure

    Tom joined Synterra Ltd. as an Architect with specialty in urban and infrastructure design including; bridges, vehicular roadways corridors, pedestrian bridges, transit centers and stations. Tom has collaborated on projects with many of the world’s best-known engineering firms and agencies for which he has provided architectural aesthetic consultation on large scale domestic and international projects. Among his many professional and civic affiliations, Tom is a member of the American Institute of Architects and American Society of Highway Engineers. He holds Professional Registrations in; PA , DE, FL, MD, NJ, NY and CT. and holds a Masters Degree in Urban and City Planning from Wroclaw University of Technology and a Masters Degree in Architecture Design from the University of Pennsylvania.

  • Regina Ellzy
    Administrative Assistant

    Regina is a key part of the organization’s environment and fills a very diverse role with her advanced organization and planning skills. She is a warm and motivated team player and enjoys managing the busy day-to-day communication between Synterra staff, its project partners and clients.

  • Michael B. Hill
    Managing Director - Synterra Partners

    As Managing Director of Synterra Partners, Michael brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in the advancement of business, educational, artistic, cultural and human service organizations. Holding degrees - B.S. in Psychology, M.S. in Human Services Management, and D.M. (ABD) in Organizational Leadership – Michael is responsible for building strategic partnerships with market leaders in residential, commercial, hotel and retail sectors. Prior to joining Synterra Partners, Michael has served as Executive Vice President at Lincoln University, Senior Vice President at Tuskegee University, and Assistant Vice President at Temple University. He is a self starter with a proven track record of developing human potential and achieving organizational results.
